Literature Text

Words of kindness,
words of sorrow,
words that kill,
words that yield
no tomorrow.

These words mend
our broken souls,
obtaining the power
of the utmost gods.

Your language creates
barriers and you separate;
this was never meant to be.
You are the epitome
of my broken English.

Your words,
what do they mean?
I speak this language
every day and
every single time
you turn away.

Do you ever stop to think about
how your words affect me,
how your words infect me?
You were this glorious,
mysterious creature,
yet you use your words to kill
and maim what we have created.

You speak in tongues,
pushing the world away
yet you are unaffected.
Separate me from
the foul language you
so callously spew forth,
like venom coursing
through these veins.

Your words could heal me,
your words could save me,
But you deteriorate our love
And with these words you kill me.
