A symphony
conducts for me
the sweetest song
of sympathy;
heartstrings,
harpsichords,
yet somehow
my life is
not complete.

Literature
a song I sometimes sing
through heavy eyes
this is the picture that I see:
the reflection of my body
that ghost
poor me-
I have to hold her blood
carry her bones
wear her rotting skin
my body sways to the music of the dial tone- the cold metal of the payphone melting into my fingers. the sky is falling into the ocean again, and I am being held with hands made of water.
eyes squinted now
and everything is far away
parents are fighting again
took too much medication again
the same bad dreams

Literature
I only bemoan myself
We wear deities
and hunt for our facades
within the real you.
Moths inside
a widening gyre,
our daily bread
lies within
a shining piecrust,
broken.
So whimper we
unhappy few,
a wolf for mankind's end,
but He has put up bunting for the same,
and what we are
are broken wings,
a chasm's cough
that simply fades.
Literature
a lamentation
sometimes there is the murmur
of sadness in my hands. sometimes
my face is warmer than warm, and
sometimes this does not extend to you,
to where it ought to matter.
sometimes i think i am too small
to take wind and water into my stride;
sometimes i am the leaf that floats unbidden
into your arms, the breath of breeze
from over the sea, come to carbonate
your blood with my memory.
i am the taste of summer tart and sweet
on a forgotten tongue left leagues behind,
over oceans you could not wait to leave.
there is nothing here for you.
sometimes i forget i am not meant
to love you.
